I looked on their website and it only shows the original ones.
I emailed them (info@blackcatcustom.com) to see what the deal is.

For reference, i'd attach that image I uploaded here and mention you talked to Chris Wynne about getting the same design (that's me).

Hopefully they'd cut a deal since the design work is already done, just have to order another set to match.

Heres the custom set I just approved...

Notice the Custom logo in the Tach section...
The "RPM" and "MPH" locations...
The fuel guage matches the temp/volt/oil gauges...

I love the custom logo... the fuel gauge, not so much. Shouldn't it be "RPM x 1000"?

Mine came in today, interestingly enough, the surround was opaque. I thought it would be translucent, but given the design, I might actually like it more this way.

If you can't figure that out by looking at the gauges you shouldn't be driving a car!! LOL
Besides it's my car and I know it's x1000....

My car's ripped apart for paint (thankfully not blown up for once), but I should have it back soon. Getting a hood/grille painted, and some interior work (piano black console)

As soon as I can, I'll get these installed and some pictures.

Well, since it's your car you should also know which is RPM and which is MPH and not need labels at all. (just messin' with ya, man).

My re-ordered faces arrived yesterday as well and I installed them last night... I've done it enough times now that I can do it in less than 30 minutes. Took a couple of times to get the needle positioning right but that was no big deal. I'll take it out today and confirm the speedometer against GPS but I'm not expecting problems.

So I now have the original black faces (with the bolder font) for sale at half price - $60 and I'll even throw in shipping to lower 48 via priority post.

so on that note,

What's the deal on the gauge needle positions?

Just lift them straight up with a fork or other levering device carefully, and minimize any sort of positional movement, swap faces then set down?

I always thought the opening sweep was just that, a sweep for showing off, not calibration of position.

I found this time it was easier to use the method recommended by the vendor of pulling up on the needle while turning it opposite to its normal rotation. There is no real difference in results but I felt I was less likely to scuff the gauge face.

The sweep doesn't adjust for large differences in needle position but it does adjust the zero position relative to the starting position of the needle. I discovered that you can push the needle on at about the mid-range position then slowly turn it back to slightly past the zero position. It will click while turning so you turn it to a position one click before the zero position and it should work well.

This time I found that the oil pressure gauge needle would not zero out correctly from that starting position. Rather than make multiple trips between the bench and the car, I just left the gauge cover panel off and plugged in the cluster so that I could reposition the needle while in the car. Once I was satisfied that all gauge needles were set correctly, I took it all back to the bench to reassemble.

My car is still in paint,

I just needed a random thread to complain in.

Anyone else have pictures of their gauges installed?

I will soon I hope...I'm on vacation out of state, but my gauges should be home before I am. Planning on installing mid Jan.
