Alirght. So to get this out in the open, this install took me about 3 hours. It is the first time i've torn apart (and yes, you do tear apart most of it) any part of my dash. Overall I like them, I do notice that they seem to be more reflective (shiny) I've included are some pictures for your enjoyment.

I HIGHLY reomend using 1.) a fork to lift of the needles and 2.) a magnetic wrench of some kind, I dropped (and lost) both screws while trying to put the dash back in.

I'll be happy to answer any questions about the pictures as well

How much would you sell me your old ones for?

Oric 10/21/12 09:44 PM

Uhm, no idea. haha

Looks good. is this the black GT500 style?

Naeem5oh 10/22/12 07:20 AM

looks great. can u plz post some night shots with dash lights on?

908ssp 10/22/12 10:38 AM

Looks a thousand time better than the stock dash. I just hate those radial numbers on the gauges that kind of old fashion just looks awful. I didn't like in 1967 and I still don't like it what were they thinking.

The GT500s are the the same, except they have the broken ring on the white, so no, these are not them

JPMotorSport 10/23/12 09:38 PM

They don't look bad. i for one love the stock gauges on the '10-12s. Always wanted the Bullitt or Mach 1 cluster in my New Edge V6 and IMO these gauges are the most full featured out of all the S197 'mycolor' functions (halo+gauge face seperate colors, etc).

Nocturnal'14 10/23/12 09:40 PM

Night time pics of these please (Preferably with WHITE mycolor)!!!
I am putting these on my short list of mods!

thanks!!

Here's some night pictures, sorry my phones camera is crap in the dark. Looks really nice

Looks great. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if there's any updates on the base gauge.

CaptDistraction 10/25/12 02:57 PM

nice. Does the ring glow with the mycolor halo feature?

Xar 10/25/12 03:17 PM

those look very nice. I'm one of the few here that actually like the stock gauges, but those are very nice as well.

SwissGT 10/25/12 05:20 PM

Neat!
The pics are with halo off, right? Would love to see pics with halo on. I expect the halos to look much better with this face than with the stock one. I for one have halo turned off because to me it looks like the main gauge illumination is "leaking".
Here, with the small ring going around the gauge and the rest of the background being black, I bet it looks great.

I'll play around with the other settings and upload some photos tonight or tmrw.

The 2010 cluster only goes to 140mph.. Would I have to get the cluster recalibrated to work with this 160mph gauge overlay?

Those look really nice so much more sporty than the stock ones. What was Ford thinking I hope they never make that mistake again.:banghead:

I received the same gauge faces last week. I have a few questions if you don't mind...

The instructions that come with the gauge faces are different from the ones posted on their site or the method you used. They make a big point about how easy it is to damage the gauges and they recommend twisting the needles off but that concerns me. Did you have any trouble removing or replacing the needles?

I used an old trick I learned while working on my Gold Wing - stuff a cloth around the opening where you remove the screws so that when they inevitably drop, they land in the cloth and don't fall into the bowels of the dash. When I removed the screws, the top of the gauge package came loose but I wasn't quite sure how to wiggle the entire module loose. It seemed to be fastened at the bottom somehow. How did you get it out of the dash?

I'm giving serious thought to leaving the four center gauges with their stock backing because I prefer the less bold font and the range markings. Do you think it would be any problem to cut the OEM face panel between the gauges so that I could just install the speedometer and tachometer faces?

Finally, did you have much trouble with the adhesive? Did you have to use heat to remove the factory face? Did you have to add any more adhesive to attach the new face panels?

Thx.

I plan on keeping the stock center as well. I'm asking to see if I can get a custom set of the GT500 ones with a less bolded font, and unbroken outer ring.

Would love to see more pics guys especially with the halos activated.

Also, I believe Whitebird that you can cut with no problem, and lifting the pegs with a fork will be the removal method (they're just pinch pins). Though I'd wait to Oric to confirm (although he had a picture with a fork under them, and had marked their positions before lifting)

Isn't the regular Mustang face on their website basically what you're looking for? The only real difference from the "500" style is the smaller font and unbroken outer ring. If not, they're very good at doing custom designs. I got the regular Mustang face for the smaller font but I wanted the "500" style markings around the edge so they did it custom for me and I had the proof in just a couple of days.
