OK, so here is what comes with the Easygo Mustang kit. I tried matching it up with what is listed in the installation guide, but not everything matches up. The installation guide looks to be generic, while this kit is specific to the Mustang only.

The start button is NOT the same as what was in the pictures. The guy said that the one in the pictures was a prototype for SEMA, while the approved production button had to be different to accommodate the latching of the flip up door.
This is disappointing. I don't like the off centre button (Just like Silver Horse Racing's buttons). I may have the word "MUSTANG" laser etched below the button to take up that space and illuminated when the interior lights are on. Or I may see if I can get a plate 3D printed to have the button centered. I don't know yet. I am certainly going to get that black ring around the button chromed, though.

This looks like a cool project, but it seems like there are too many minor issues that would annoy me (some you already mentioned). I don't really like the placement of the button and the red color wouldn't really fit with my car. I'm also not sure about the proximity unlock/lock thing (that might only be for the digital guard dawg though). I would much rather either use the button on the handle or the fob.I'm also not sure about the whole cutting the key and just shoving that in the starter either. I am very interested to see how this goes for you, though.

If I decide to keep the button off centre, then I want to laser etch something below, but I can't decide what. Either MUSTANG, 5.0 or the running horse. I will make it illuminated and tie it into the dash lights - or tie it into ambient lighting and have it change colour . This way I can turn it off when I don't want it illuminated at night.
Thoughts? This or I will have a new bezel 3D printed to have the button centered.

Personally, I don't know if I like that. For me it's how it's obviously not an OEM thing since that's going to be the only item on the entire dash that has that sort of look to it (the cut out look). Other than that I would say in order of best to worst it's Mustang, Pony, then 5.0 (and 5.0 is way, way done there away from the pony).

The Digital Guard Dawg iKey thing is apparently half off for I don't know how long, but if someone was interested in that, seems like now is the time to do it. I wish I could find a way to merge the start button of the iKey (I like the Ford or Nissan ones the most) with everything else of the EasyGo. If that was possible, I feel like I would definitely get on this. I wonder if the EasyGo is just a 12v momentary switch, probably is.

There are 5 wires coming out of the Easygo button that go to the 'brain', so it can't just be a momentary switch.
I'll be grabbing the idatalink to use instead of the keyfob box Easygo uses.

Oh, only noticed the white and red wires. That's disappointing. If I could change out that button and its placement, I would probably purchase this immediately for the coming winter, especially since I am considering moving to an apartment without a garage.

I got the idatalink module and it is programmed now.
The wiring I will need help on, so over the next few days I will be getting tech support from Easygo (who is actually Compustar) and my local remote start installers to see if I can figure it out.
More to come.

Parts are trickling in.
I have everything for the keyless ignition, but I am waiting for Easygo to e-mail me wiring diagrams for using hte idatalink.
Also need 2 LED light bezels for my paddle shifter mod.
I wanted to do all this over this weekend, but without the diagrams, I have to wait.

In order for a remote start to work, the chip in the key needs to be present in the car. The key box has you place a chipped key in a box that senses the chip in the key and tells the car to start.
I don't like the idea of leaving a functioning key in the car, even if hidden and hard to get to. The idatalink module replicates the chip without needing to have the actual key. Idatalink is usually the choice for remote start setups.

I've been quite busy stripping out my interior and changing out the body harness. I don't know if I will now have the time this weekend to install this. May have to wait.
