Actually, it doesn’t specifically say “if you already have the shaker system” do this or get that. It just gives the part number for an amp and bracket. But hey, thanks for a simple yes or no.

No, a shaker system alone will not provide sound. I was off 10 posts, it was post 13. Your best option is to go with the OEM amp so you can utilize the built in under dash mounts and potentially keep your shaker system. You will likely need to search the thread, but I do believe you can have the Nav and shaker system together without having to do a full body harness swap. Jim has the setup if I recall correctly, but he did a full harness swap so his would not be apples-to-apples with yours. .

I did wire it myself, but there was a connection somewhere that was bad. Instead of ripping everything apart to find it, I ripped everything apart and put in the proper harness instead.

I put the nav system in my 2012 base, along with a shaker pro/1000 system. If you use the 2013-14 driver kick panel amp then you do not need the rear nav amp that is required on 2010-12 cars as this amp handles everything. and If you have a 2013 headunit with programming for the rear sub you can have a working shaker 1000 too. Never found out if you could reprogram the nav as-built data to accept new data with a retrofit. When I tried it i couldn't. So I got lucky and found a 2013 nav with shaker pro.

Does anyone know to what degree the main dash harnesses differ between 2010, 2011 and 2012 models? What are the risks of getting a wrong dash harness?

I have a 2011 non-nav premium and getting ready to install the nav. The dash harness that I have is from a 2012 Nav model.

From 11 to 12 you should be fine. But there are a few different part numbers for dash harnesses even within the same years. I had to get a harness that matched my car plus the nav.

Spent all day Saturday trying to figure out why my temperature controls are backwards. Tried 3 different climate control harnesses, followed the wiring diagrams and still can't figure it out. The original harness works exactly the same as the new harness(s) F it...setting automatic climate to 75 and forgetting about it. I give up.

You got this one?

climate system harness ($30) - AR3Z 18B574 B. This is to get the temperature buttons to work right, otherwise they will work in reverse - but they will work without this.

If I remember right, you also have to watch what gets plugged into what. I think I remember switching up 2 connectors for the actuators for the blend doors.

That's the one. The first one I received was made incorrectly. It had a wrong connector for either the blend door or actuator...can't remember which. The second one I got, I thought was correct, but it didn't change anything. Got a third one just for ****s and giggles, still no difference.

I'm wondering if a sensor could be wrong/damaged?

This also happened to another member too, but neither of us have been able to figure it out.

So no matter what harness you put in your controls are backwards?

Maybe Lexiion can chime in.

Yes sir. I've been comparing the two wire diagrams, but can't find anything that is different/reversed.

It was quite a few years ago for me, but trying to remember.

Using the proper dual climate zone harness you are plugged into the passenger side of the evaporator box only, yes? You would have 2 connectors - one goes to the driver actuator motor and the other goes into the passenger actuator motor. You don't have a driver's actuator motor as you don't have dual climate zone, so the one that would plug into the driver's side will have to plug into the passenger side instead. The one that normally plugs into the passenger side will be left unconnected.

I THINK this is how I remember it.

I just did an oem nav upgrade to a 2014 GT Premium. I hooked everything up and the screen is solid white. I can press the screen in différent places and it changes the channel and changes the vents from defrost to vent. So I know it works but the screen is just white. I did swap with a friends and the unit works in his car and his turned white in mine.?????? Help... the wife is pissed that is not working.

Yup, that's how I had it. I appreciate the help Jim. I may take the dash out again at some point. maybe do the dual climate swap and see what happens.

Check the pins in your connectors and plugs and make sure none are bent. If it worked in another car and you confirmed this, then that is the only other thing I can suggest.

You did change to the appropriate harness, yes? Double check all connectors are pushed in?

It has to be something simple. No reason your car is different than anyone else's who has done this.

Wish I could do more to help you out.

Reach out to Lexiion and see if he has anything to add.

You will want to start a different thread on that as this thread is only for retrofitting the nav system.
