Thanks, I think that it took the load using the "demo" method. I'll have to test it out this weekend by letting it set for a few days.

I just got a Pioneer AVIC-F940BT installed with a Scosche panel. Looks really good.
However, it turns out that I get constant hum or buzz from the speakers as soon as the HU powers up, and only goes away once I've pulled the ignition key an opened the door.
The guy who installed it claims that all Mustangs have this buzz, but its barely audible with the standard radio. It's only when you put in an after market unit that you really hear it.
Can anyone confirm this? I have never read anything about this before.

yes. he lied and obviously doesn't know much.

there is a sound you hear from the subwoofers, but I only heard it with the OEM head unit and it was barley noticeable.

Here's a video of my installation, with the buzzing sound best heard at 02:00.

i'm going to go with bad ground or the RCA connectors are somehow making contact with each other behind the radio. could also be a bad head unit. definitely not normal

I agree with Bones. Generally a buzzing sound is a ground loop/bad ground. But that is usually only prominent when the car is running. The weakest points of an aftermarket stereo setup is probably going to be the RCA's but that is in an amplified setup. If the dokor speakers are buzzing just off the radio (not amplified) then it could be the radio ground or just a bad radio. The kit could be a part of the problem fo course since the system is plug and play with no wires being cut or spliced. You would need to hook the radio up to another 12v power source and then test each speaker output to see if the buzzing is still there. If not then its the kit. If its still there on another power source then its the radio.
