that looks pretty good. Not a fan of how low the DIN opening is though

it does look much better than the Metra kit

I ordered it directly from Scosche. I checked Metra's site but I did not see a new kit. Is the radio above the controls on this kit?

That's Horrible ...

However .. if you took the latest Metra Design and put Scosches Control panel up high like that .. it would be just about perfect!

I still cannot figure out why SCOSCHE left the factory display in their instead of just using their display.

I agree it may lack a bit in looks, but I'm withholding judgement until I can see some install pics. the nice thing about the new metra kit is that the display is customizable and lets you add 2 or 3 electronic switches to activate other accessories on the car.

Looking forward to some install pics. I just insatlled the Metra in the Boss. Nothing fancy, but it works. The stereo isn't in as bad of a position as I thought from the pictures either.

I got the Metra kit as well only because that was the only kit available at the time and you are right about the position of the radio opening. It is not as bad as it looks in pictures, but the kit just doesn't match the interior IMO.

Very true, but not sure either one does. I thought it over and went with the simple look of the Metra because I thought it suited the Boss more. The fact that is was readily available had some influence too! Still not impressed with the quality of the LCD display, but it is customizable.

I just installed my Scosche kit with my new Kenwood reciever. It looks awesome and I am very pleased with the outcome. I used the SYNC line in to retain SYNC so I still have all my steering wheel controls as well. I had to take a quick pic with my iPhone because my wife was yelling at me to come eat dinner, but I will post better pics later.

Thanks for posting pictures. Haven't really had enough time using the Metra kit as the car is away for the winter. How do you like the A/C controls so far?

I like the a/c controls, everything was very well put together and it matches the interior so I am happy. Hopefully Scosche will make a kit with radio on top, but until then this will keep me satisfied.

So ur SYNC works 100% the same? Without a kit or harness? I didn't wanna mess with another head unit cuz I thought I would lose the sync features

I had to purchase the ford sync aftermarket kit and it works 100% the same. I did not have to use the mic or Bluetooth features that came with the kenwood radio because I can still use all my features with the Ford Sync.
