window tint question.

If some one could help me out. I'm getting my Windows tinted on my 2013 and was wondering whether or not I should get the windshield tint done. If anyone has a few pictures they can post that would be awesome.

I have a tint strip on my front windshield, I really like the way it looks and it helps when you're driving into the sun.

Just be sure you check your local laws, in my city 6 inches is the furthest down you can go from the top of the windshield, and the police are more aggressive about enforcing windshield tint than regular window tint.

Well there are small lines on either side of the top of the windshield. I just assume you can't go Any lower then those 2 lines. You have any mustang pics of the tint on your windshield.

ponypusher,

What percent are you going to with?

My personal opinion would be to get all the windows done then the tint strip on the windshield! Yes, those lines are designed to show where the "legal" limit on your windshield is.

It looks sick when the hole windshield is done, but all eyes are already on you being in a mustang anyway LOL!

Remember this is just my personal opinion!

Not sure what lines you're talking about, but here's some quick pictures of the tint on my windshield:

I was thinking 18% tint. I just don't want the tint to be darker than the car. Thanks Kevin that looks good I think im getting the windshield tint done.

Legally you can only do the top stripe accross the windshield. To do it all is not only illlegal IMO dangerous.

What state are you in? Legal limits vary state to state.

the AS1 line is about the legal limit but some states say 4", 5" or 6".

Legal Limits for Each State...

Well that is better, I did not see the addendum, just a * stating only for medical reasons...

Cool... So somewhere around 30 to 35 ... Not to shabby... Thanks for the info by the way!

NY does not allow side windows but everyone has them and I had 35% on my last mustang for 6 years and never was hassled. "Hint: when pulled over put both windows down at once" I am thinking going the same on the new car.

My Escape had 20% on the fronts when I bought it used. I've been pulled over twice, and this is SOP haha

MI has got to be one of the worst states for window tinting. Only allowed 4" on the windows adjacent to the driver and passenger unless you've got permission from a Dr. I may have to see if I know any optometrists.

I had an eye injury (well, still have it actually) and tried to get my eye doctor to write me a note for front tint. He wouldn't do it.
