gone nuts wit da plasti-dip...
looks like ****, but not bad considering it's cheap and temporary. I sprayed the stripes with clear plasti-dip. i'll take some better pics with my buddy's camera once i clean er up.

The only thing on my entire car that I sprayed with plastidip was the orange reflectors and that's the only thing not sprayed on your car haha but it doesn't look that bad. You're the plastidip spraying master
LOL! i'm not quite a master, but definitely having fun with it.
i used 25 cans @ $6 each. considering trying my hand at spraying it through a spray gun at some point.

I dipped my wheels but used a cheap (read as inexpensive) detail gun from Harbor Freight and the finish was great! You will get nice uniform coats with a gun. Since I wanted to go for a "graphite" look I shot over the wheels with Dupli Color graphite and the results were pretty good and still retain the temporary feature of a pure plasti-dip. Currently 5 months and look like the day I shot them
bud, it peels right off like a huge condom (probably not the best analogy).
carfreak, because i'm
... seriously though, it's totally reversible, so why not?
your wheels look great, jimmy! do you think it will be tougher to peel off with paint over it?
lildude, it's actually a lot easier to keep clean. i just run it through the touchless wash, or if it's just dusty, i'll hose it off real quick.

jrpalmer, yes it peels right off, but holds up to high pressure car washes with no problem. to get it off, you have to actually pick at a corner, get a hold of it and then rip it off. there's a few vids of people removing it on utube.
schmokn, i've heard of some folks using it as a spray-on bra. it definitely works.

Thanks Nite! Honestly have no idea if it will be harder to remove or not but since the under lay is plasti-dip, so it should behave the same way. If anything, the lacquer paint will likely flake off in big pieces. Time till tell. I probably will just respray if I get some rash or peeling but so far, so good. Only thing I have notices is Black Magic Tire Wet tends to lift the area around the bead which settles back down when it dries. I have switched to Surf City Beyond Black which does not have that problem.

million dollar idea!
