Shocks/Struts

I lowered my car on Eibach Pro Kits, and while Eibach said they are compatible with stock dampners the ride has still suffered.

What are some good shocks/struts that would bring back some ride comfort? I am not necessarily worried about super duper handling performance, this car already handles way better that what I would ever push it to.

with the pros your ride will never be comfortable. IMO those springs should be for the track only. You just feel every nook and cranny in the street with those. I have to agree with Koni STR.T's as stated above.

Thanks for the opinions. I don't expect stock ride comfyness, which was too "Buick" for me anyway. But something not quite as harsh would be nice.

Was yours bad right after you installed the springs or did it get progressively worse? Just wondering because I installed the Roush springs that are reccommended for use with stock shocks too and my ride is now rough. It was fine at first but over the summer it slowly got worse. I went into it knowing ride quality would suffer, but I didn't think it would get this bad so quickly. And my front end is now pulling left/right over certain surfaces, I think my tow is outta whack. I'm going to leave it for now because it'll be parked for the winter and probably upgrade everything in the spring.

No the change was instant. It has not gotten worse in the 1500 miles I put on the car since.

Gotcha. My shocks are probably wearing out prematurely then. I've got almost 6k on the car with 4k of those on the springs. Sounds like the koni's are the route to go.

GT500 strut mounts, Steeda Sports (Hyperco) and Koni STR.T on my 2012 vert. Great combination. Ride is firm, but not harsh.

Totally agree with Shipey, running the same setup on my 2012 V6 Prem. Vert. I tried Eibachs on my 2000 Vert, hated them. Did the Steeda Sports this time with the Koni STR.Ts and GT500 mounts, love the stance and the ride. Just firm enough to improve handling but still keep the wife happy with the ride and lower it, of course. You absolutely need to look at the Koni's and may need to look into switching out those springs, they are too aggressive IMO.

I also had the car alligned after the work was done and my neg. camber was right on the border of being out of spec. I may need to do a Camber/Caster kit later. I also added an adjustable Pan Hard bar afterwards as the misallignment of my diff. was obvious once the car was lowered.
