Why did you buy the GT/CS?

Just curious why those that have one, decided on that option.

Mine was because of the uniqueness of it. It was the only GT/CS on the lot and the wife kept going back to it. I was looking at different color GT's and a GT500. She got me to look at the CS and I really had not thought about one until then. After looking over the package, we decided it would be nice to have a limited edition car.Just enough to be different but not gaudy.

Our other option was the GT500 but we decided as a daily driver, my wife did not want to try to handle the hp. The 5.0 is plenty.....and we are very pleased with no regrets.

I was gonna get a premium GT with the Brembos but saw a red Cali on the lot and liked it. However it did not have the options I wanted so I ordered one in red and decided I wanted GB instead. I called my dealer before receiving the vin and had him change the color. I'm so glad I did. My car is 1 of 170. (see sig)

I stopped by a dealership to get my other car worked on (Lincoln LS p.o.s). Walked around out front and test drove an all white brembo GT. The color didn't suit me but there was a GB Cali sitting there (the only one on this lot). While working out the cost i found one in Charlotte for only $34k and this one was $40k. The one in Charlotte didn't have nav which i didn't want and the one in front of me did have it. Three hours later i was ready to walk and drive to Charlotte and save 6 grand. Needless to say they ate the cost and gave me this one. And i'm happy for it (and glad i have the navvy).

The GB Cali stands out in a crowd of regular GT's. Brembo or not i'm good. Plus i stop just fine without them. And to see Brembo's running out to buy my front end is priceless!

I think it's funny that so many GT and other mustang owners seem to not like Cali's but yet so many of them want our front ends. WTF?

i bought one because my dealer was very good to me.
he offered me a price that was cheaper than another dealer on a mustang gt premium. and better % rate too.
they were also highest on my trade.

I was shocked at the number of GT owners looking at the CS front also. Just don't tell them that our back side looks better too.....

Yeah and i went out and bought a set of Hawk Performance Plus brake pads and will stop almost as quick as you and spent less then you did on your Cali front end.

It's not about stopping distance, it's about brake fade

Its pointless to argue about this. We all have reasons for buying what we did.

I ordered mine for a few reason:

1) it's different then just a "GT" (as most non mustang owners will say "oh, it's just a gt?")

2) I actually liked the options and the sporty/aggressive it had and the wheels were my favorite out of all of them. (even tho I changed lol)

3) you can't beat the price for all the add ons and the fact they are factory installed is a plus, as opposed to appearance packages which are dealer installed. Even if I wanted to change to a GT500 spoiler which I like, the front facia, rear valence , side scoops etc would have cost aftermarket almost as much as the whole package itself. And this doesnt include the interior
