Mods and their affect on the warranty

I was wondering how much mods affect warranty claims. Will installing a cold air intake or custom tuning void my warranty? Are there certain mods that are considered warranty-friendly and others that are known issues. Thanks in advance!

The TSB explains it very clearly on the third page flow chart. If the Ford maintenance tech can find any mods that can be tied to an engine failure, your warranty can be cancelled. Good enough for me. I don't have a wallet fat enough to attempt to fight them. I'll stick to factory parts, or factory approved mods, at least while my warranty is still active.
