...and am looking for some opinions on it. I'm probably going to hold off until next summer to get a whole new exhaust system but I wanted to pick up something now to add a little more aggressive sound to my '10 v6.

Is there a better muffler out there (i.e. more aggressive sounding).

I'm a noob at all this so please use small words.

 

About as good as any for a single.

 

If you are just looking for something slightly more aggressive sounding, do a search on your local craigslist for some 2010 GT take-off mufflers. Obviouisly you will only need the one (passenger) side, but it really wakes the car up, and sounds great. Any GT muffler from 2005-2009 will also work, but the tip does not extend all the way into the bumper cover. There is also a slight performance gain in doing this. The factory 2010 V6 muffler uses 1.625" tubing inside the muffler despite having 2.5" pipes coming into it. The GT mufflers are 2.5" throughout their insides.

 

Try the gt500 kr mufflers. Best muffler sound I've ever heard for a v6.
Check fordracing.com and go to the exhaust section where they offer a full v6 conversion kit with gt500 kr mufflers included and they have a audio sample. It sounds just as, if not better than a gt.

 

Does aanybody know if the 2011 GT mufflers fit the 2010?

 

No they will not. In 2011 all Mustangs started to use a ball & socket type connection at the axle-backs. The previous used a slip joint. The '10 V6 will use any muffler for '05-'10.
