That brace, is in my opinion, a waste of money and addition of weight. If you want to keep your axle tubes from twisting, weld them into the differential housing all the way around. They are only spot welded from Ford. Not that that is a huge issue unless you are making (and can get to the ground) stupid power. Even then, think about the path of the forces---that bar doesn't really help resist rotational forces.

So to those sporting a Watts link, what are the road mannerisms before and after when on bumpier surfaces?

If you really want to improve bumpy surface behavior you need to be looking at shocks and springs.

The Watts link, just locates the axle, but in doing so restricts movement on bumps to up and down without the side to side action you get with the panhard bar arc. The rear Chassis "wiggle" is gone as a result, and as stated before, the car feels much more planted.
