off topic, does having LTs automically require you to ditch the stock cats? therefore, having to run off road or get a shorty X with cats?

Yes u can't reuse the stock cats.

Your rear end gears shouldn't be whining AT ALL no matter what ratio they are. If they whine they were installed incorrectly.

Fact. They need to be re-machined and then re-installed.
