Steeda CAI/Tune (Power Pak)

When I ordered mine a couple of years ago it was already loaded. You may want to plug in the SCT tuner and scroll through the tunes that are loaded just to make sure before installing the CAI. Just don't load the tune until you have the CAI on the car.

Send me your order number & I can talk to our tuning dept. & confirm if it was loaded or coming via email - if it came via email, make sure to check your spam folder.

Tires with the same stated size are not all exactly the same size. That tire size is somewhere around 775 to 780 revolutions per mile. You can go to Tire Rack and lookup your exact tire and size and click on the spec tab. It usually lists the revolutions per mile for each tire.

What are the power differences between just the tune and the tune with intake? Is this a "steeda tune" or just an SCT Tune? If I order the same tuner from AmericanMuscle or other vendor, am I getting the same tune? I want the power increase from a tune, but not really sure I want the added noise of a performance-oriented intake.

The Steeda CAI will typically see 9 to 12 horsepower over the stock airbox on the dyno - the rest of the HP comes from the tune, 30+ HP - http://www.steeda.com/steeda-manual-...pack-555-3935/
Don't think of the noise as something "unbearable" ... it is more of a added benefit of the power:
Mr V can help elaborate on the sound - it is a just a benefit of the CAI!
You can also email me for more information or ordering support!

This is a Steeda tune written on the SCT platform - you can only get a Steeda tune written from Steeda. Ordering from other companies will net you their tune.

I deleted my sound tube last year and it made absolutely no difference in the cabin noise

I have another question for those with tunes. Ok, I'm a bit paranoid. If my sct tuner breaks, I'm not able to switch tunes. Is there a way to back up the files like my tunes, especially my factory tune, in case something goes wrong with me magic little electronic box.

Yes when you first get your tuner it pulls the factory tune which you can pull off the tuner and put on your computer. Now I know for Bama when I got my first turn I had to send them my factory tune to put on file and that's pretty much what they build all your tunes off. Hope that helped
