Steeda Auto tune on 14 GT
#21
update...First all, thanks to Steeda!!! I ordered my tuner and tune on Monday..was told it would take a couple of days to get done, then they'd ship it. I received the Tuner on Weds....that is fast service!!!
The difference in performance is like night and day. It's a different car now. I drive about 120 miles round trip daily on the interstate. So far I can say that a standard Vet(not Z06) doesn't want none..nor does a Camaro SS...left both looking at my tail lights before I backed out north of 130...Turn off the traction control and advance trak, and even with the 19's on my Brembo package, it'll smoke the tires to nothing from a rolling start at any point in first gear and into second..
The shifts are really good at WOT, but the car still shifts out to fast under normal driving conditions..ie...it'll shift into 6th while only running 40 mph...I'm going to give Steeda call after holiday ,and modify the tune to hold the shift points longer under normal, non WOT, driving conditions.
It does seem that the gas milage has suffered about 1-2 gallons difference. Under stock setting, I could get 27.0-27.2 on my drive home running 71mph...I tried it the other day at 71mph with the tune, and I was getting 25.7-25.9. It could be that's its colder and tire pressures are little lower now, or a number of things, so I'm not blaming the tune..just making an observation...Hell, mileage is the lest important thing on my list here anyways.

Yes..93 octane only..
Again...the difference in before and after tuning is remarkable! Has to be the best dollar per horsepower upgrade you can do. It's a different car now..
