Roush 625hp TVS supercharger kit - questions

I've been doing this almost 10 years my friend. The Tuner kit is cheaper. Take the savings and apply it to a tune/sct that is made for your car. The tune will be made for your car and thus it can be aggressive or non aggressive as you want. These motors respond very well to FI and don't need any "aggressive" tune to make 600whp.
It's been known with the ford pro-cals and roush mail in tunes to run like do do. I'm strongly against mail in tunes that don't revise, this is exactly what they provide (ford, roush) At the end of the day, it's your car and can do whatever you want. But I'm speaking in terms of "been there done that, have the t-shirt"..lol Trying to save you money and do it 100% correct way.
I made 640 on a conservative tune, I pulled timing out (1.5) degree and laid down 616whp 548 tq on 15.5 degrees of timing. Which isn't alot at all.

Hi Guys,
So now that the Coyote has been out for a couple of years... is the general consensus that 600 RWHP is the "safe" maximum for the stock internals?
I'm thinking about getting the ROUSH kit too... either 625 or 675... although it sounds like the 625 kit will probably make 600 RWHP with a conservative dyno tune, correct?
Thanks.

I started out with the 540 hp kit, then 575 ( smaller pulley / belt Roush cal) and now to 625 hp kit ( Roush CAI & cal); big difference 540 to 625. Not much diff with 575 to 625. Go to the Roush forum - fnsweet and check out the dyno videos. The 625 kit puts 545 rwhp & 440 TQ. JDM engineering's conservative tune claims 575rwhp and 505TQ on pump gas and no fuel upgrades. They do not do BAP because it is a band aide fix.
Personally I'm looking for a tune to clean up the Roush tune, drive everyday and put 100,000 miles on the clock.

We've placed a lot of orders for the 675 kit and customers have been pretty dang happy!! If you're looking for something more custom, we offer a package:
Roush TVS tuner kit (comes with everything but the upgraded pulley, tune and tuner)
VMP tune/ SCT tuner
82mm pulley
JLT CF/ plastic or painted CAI
95mm idler
FRPP or NGK spark plugs
Optional:
VMP BAP
FRPP CJ throttlebody
With a Lund or VMP remote tune we've seen 616-640 RWHP on 93 Octane with 540-560 TQ. Both tuners believe 650 is max they would go on a stock block with 93 octane as you'll run into detonation issues. E85 you have the ability to run much more but at the cost of replacing your fuel system.
We sell more custom kits as the cost is pretty much the same if not less than the Roush 675 kit while making more power.
Give us a shout for pricing and details.

So does this mean the upgrade is back on your to-do list? I hope it works out for you.
Me... I'm still debating if it's "worth it" to upgrade. Like you said, it's kind of a Tim Allen thing.
I'm also somewhat concerned about longevity, especially since this is my daily driver and I have 31k mi in two years already (mostly hwy). I think a lot of it has to do with how you drive and how you take care of the car, and I don't plan on going max-boost at every stop light. My mechanic says I should be fine.
Part of me wants to at least wait until my 36k warranty is up, but then I'll miss out on having it this summer.

Also, does the Pump Voltage Regulator make it any trickier to tune, or is that pretty much transparent to the tune (and tuner)?
Thanks again!

Thanks for the info. So Lund and VMP feel that the stock (non-forged) internals can handle 650 RWHP safely and reliably? That's quite a bit!

Since it's a custom tune, I would think that if you have 91 in the tank... you'll end up with a 91 tune!
