I tried reading the vin that’s in the PCM using FORscan. If I’m doing it correctly it shows the same vin as my car so either I’m not doing it correctly or it’s not flashed to a 2014 car.

 

I am not familiar with Forscan, so can't help you there. I used IDS

 

I put my original ABS module in and all the warning lights are off so it appears that the one I had in there was bad. I trust a new 2014 ABS matched to the flashed PCM is required in order for select shift to work.

Hi Guys,
It turns out that you don’t need a new ABS for select shift to work. At a friend’s suggestion I contacted Lund Racing. They provided me with a tune that included 2014 calibrations. Bingo. Using their new LRX device I flashed the new tune to my PCM and the select shift works. And the performance tune is amazing. Part of the process is to record data logs and send them to Lund. One of the items is to do a WOT throttle run to redline in 2nd or 3rd gear. I did it in 2nd and was going 80 when I hit 7000 rpms. Haven’t found an open stretch of road to do it in 3rd.
Aa new ABS is required for track apps. Gotta get the new steering wheel switches to work with new 2014 cluster first.
