PRO-CHARGER DYNO RUNS!!! ( VIDS )
they use 4:1 step up ratios in some cases 4.4:1
what that does is require less input speed (bigger pulley, which also saves wear on the gears and charger ) to produce the same amount of boost,
the bigger pulley has another advantage when not cogged..
more surface area = less slippage.
big fan of prochargers im sure the 7psi is conservative.. i mentioned along time ago.. i wouldn't be suprised to see 10-12 psi @the motor.. and now were starting to see it.. on turbo, FRPP (9psi)
ive used the number
23 intercooled on 93 gas..
20 non intercooled on 93 gas ..
total CR + PSI (intercooled) = total #
11 + 12 = 23
a VERY VERY good mechanic told me that 20 years ago had no issues throwing 14psi of intercooled boost into my 95 GT with STOCK HEADS for 6 years and over 50k miles, if i remember correctly they were 9.7:1 CR
these cars have only been on the streets a few months.. imagine what will be the "safe boost levels" in 2 years when ti-VCT is really figured out..
