Hope mine are Ok, will check them when I get home. Not sure what a second option will be if Roush does not replace them.

I'd hope yours would be ok considering you haven't had them to long. Probably wouldn't hurt polishing them up occasionally, might avoid some future issues. If Roush doesn't fix or replace them I'll consider it a lesson learned and upgrade to a full exhaust. I was planning on it, just not so soon.

Mine have been on for about 3600 miles no problems yet if I have problems I'm sure stage3 will do something to fix the situation.

In my opinion Roush should be responsible not the vendor. Roush should back their product. If they dont and this problem persist throughout there will be some turmoil.

I would be pretty PO'd if I paid big bucks for a real Roush stang and found this at 5K miles. I'm sure it would be covered, but that's not the point. Geesh.

No news yet. I'm not expecting Stage 3 to really do anything except get their Roush rep involved. Roush truly needs to step up on this. I'm now positive this is a design flaw as others are stepping up with the same issue.

Roush covered my stripes under warranty once already and I didn't have any issues besides the dealership screwing up the install and paying for a 3rd set.

I can say this though, if Roush doesn't step up I will be first in line when the 2013 order banks open and trading this one in....I'm will not give them anymore free advertising.

Just talked to BOI. I have to take the mufflers off and send them to them, they have to verify the issue by putting them on a car to make sure they are truly leaking, and then send me a new set.

Not really happy with that solution, as I do not want to put my stock exhaust back on, wait for replacements, and then put the new Roushes back on, which will probably rust and crack again in another 6 months.

Debating going with someone else, and then selling the replacements when I get them back.

Sounds like a real PITA process. I should probably expect the same, might as well get the stockers out of storage. I assume you have to pay shipping?

Apparently. Which is complete BS, since I already paid for shipping once. I really like the square tip, so I'll probably just replace them. I'll probably wait til its warmer to do this. Since it's a 3 year warranty, I have time.

I'm debating calling Roush and see what they say. Since more and more of us are having the same issue, in the same locations, I think this is much more of a bad design, than a welding defect.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the lack of a drain hole in the muffler, so water is sitting in there eating away at the metal.

My dad was saying the same thing about it not having a drain hole. I tried Roush this morning and still got the same automated message. I would think the easiest solution would be either send pics or allow us to bring it by an authorized dealer or retailer for inspection.

I asked BOI about sending in pictures or a video to show them leaking and they said no.

I just do not want to go through this whole process, get a new set, and then June of next year, find out the replacements cracked and start it all over again. I want something I can bolt on and will last the life of the car, just like the stockers would.

I've debated getting a Borla catback, but I don't like the way they sound, at least on Youtube. The GT500's are too quiet.

I just don't know who to go with if I get rid of the Roushes. I might get the replacements and drill some drain holes in them to see what happens, but I don't want BOI or Roush to deny a further warranty claim if I need it again.

The route I was planning to go later on was full exhaust from SW or piece together a set up. I really like VTXFrank's set up with Flowmaster super 44's with an x-pipe. Then I can always add headers later. If I go that route I was planning on ordering the square tips from PureSpeedMotorsports since I have the round ones now.

If I have any problems I'm thinking of going with the flowmaster outlaws.

Those sound good too. I always liked the Flowmaster sound on Mustangs. Had them on all my prior stangs.
