None that I can think of, unless you consider periodically checking the can a con.

Either-or; JLT's website says the black ones are on back order and shipping early February... soo... I just opted for the chrome one

Brenspeed has black in stock, but they want $14.99 for shipping.

Got mine in today and installed in in 30 seconds! Those hoses with tangs are just as amazing as zip ties...

Are you guys running just one seperator (passenger side) or would it be wise to also install one on the driver's side? I know 80% of the oil is apparently coming from the passenger side, but what about the remaining 20%?

takes longer to take strut brace and 5.0 engine cover off than to install the catch can

True... but fortunately with the JLT you don't even have to do that. I installed mine with strut brace in place and engine cover slightly lifted in the front... you can easily reach the tangs (even with my big bumble fingers!). Just an easy install, period.

Thanks for all the great feedback guys.
We are testing the driver side on our 5.0 and so far are not seeing much of anything when on the street.
I had it on when I was running the road course @ VIR and damb near filled it, but that's with 30 minutes of 7000rpm driving and hard G's, so I don't see it needed on the street, but we are still testing.
We may release it, but will honestly tell you what to expect with street or track use.

Thanks
Jay

Here's mine after 500 miles of normal highway commute.

If this is not enough to convince you to buy one of these separators, I don't know what will!

Thanks to Jay Tucker for making these awesome catch cans!!!

Why is there oil being caught in these catch cans?? Putting to much oil on the filter??? You wouldnt get that problem if you used a cai with a dry filter???

Is the stock air box dry enough?

You have no idea what is going on here if you think that this oil is coming from the intake filter.

Google is your friend. Look up "blow by".

This is all part of the PCV system and happens on every car, it's just a good idea to stop it before it gums up the intake.

We have lots more inf oon the web site

Thanks
Jay
