I had a turbo hayabusa and I had geared that to run just over 220. What's funny is that the 170 it ran in the 1/4 was peanuts compared to 200+.
I'm not sure how fast you've ever been on land but things happen fast over 200, if memory serves me isn't there a slight curve at shutdown at the Texas mile?

Nice! I didn't realize an unrestricted auto would be geared for such a high top end.

I agree, every little bit more of speed seems to make a huge difference. I've been around 175 but in much less of a car. I've had this car to 165 and it felt like I was going 90. I'm sure up over 200 is going to be interesting, that's why I'm doing it!
They moved the mile recently, not sure. This is my first one.

Check out this cool picture from Bradenton, it's from a nice article that Ford Racing Nation wrote about the car.

First day at the Texas Mile went great today. I had to do licensing passes to be able to go over 200. I got that finished up today and went 191 on 14 psi with the throttle limited up top to keep it under 200. Based on the 1/2 mile time, should have been just over 200.
Tomorrow we will keep turning it up to see what it does.
Here are a couple of in car videos of the 191 pass
