2011 Twin Turbo Mustang GT
Thought you guys might like a new project I'm working on. It's a twin turbo 2011 Mustang GT. Right now we just got the kit done. It's on a completely bone stock car except our kit, lowering springs and an off road x pipe. We took it to the drag strip for some testing Friday. Went a 10.72@131.8 on 8 psi first time out. We are going back to the track this Wednesday and hope to go low 10s on 8 psi with a better 60 ft. Then turn it up to 10 psi and go 9s. We are even leaving the heavy 19" wheels up front. I love how quiet the car is. In the first video you can only hear the loud car I'm racing.
Here's a few pictures
and here is the video

The car is owned by Jon Lund. The kit was designed and built by Jake Long and myself.
Here is an in car video so you can see how quiet it is.

Wednesday we hope to be in the low 10s/9s . After the holidays we will pick back up the project. Plan is to push the stock engine deep into the 9s and then put a built engine in and be the first stock automatic in the 8s. But keep in mind this is not a drag car. It will remain a 100% street car and only get 15" drag radials bolted on for drag testing. This car will also be going to the Texas mile in March.
Thanks for looking

This setup is a custom build but we are considering making it a kit. It's looking like a very good possibility. Pricing wouldn't be released for awhile.
First we have to finish testing on this car. Then we will do another setup on a manual car for testing. Then we have to finalize the kit, manufacturer it etc.
So just keep an eye out, I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about it.
We are going back to the track tonight shooting for a low 10.

Stock for now. The car is 100% bone stock except the following:
Our Turbo System
Off Road X Pipe
H&R Lowering Springs
Adjustable Panhard bar
MT DRs 275/60/15 and the wheels
That's it!
Goal was to make this a project any only do a little at a time. After tonight, next step will be a torque converter. We wanted to prove what we could do without any of the 'extras'.
In fact, the car is probably over 4,000 lbs with me in it.
Thanks for the comments, we have been working very hard on this project and we are very proud of what we have accomplished in such a short time.

We haven't played much with cam timing which I think will provide greater gains, but we are already killing it at 8 psi we decided to take it to the track and mess with cam timing as the next step.
This is an auto car and the stock converter was slipping a little. Put down 605 rwhp.
Once we get the final tuning done, I'll release the graphs.
But that would be about 640 or so if the car was a manual. Plus we are at the very bottom of the sweet spot on these turbos. So it should pick up 20-30 hp per psi.
It's already a monster on the street though. After the holdiays Jake and I plan on doing a more extensive video review of it. The car makes sick power, runs insane at the track. But my favorite part of it is how it DRIVES. My favorite street car ever and I've been doing this for a long time.

It's awesome. Driving it around its very responsive. What do you mean changed? As in additional parts besides the kit? If so, none. Lol
Just went 10.58@129 on the first hit. I had to lift toward the stripe because the car started to move around. There was some oil on the track.

Congrats man....that thing must really pull 1/8 on. With that stock suspension what are you 60ing. Again that is awesome. That thing is a suspension away from mid to low nines.

Just got done getting the video together. Overall I'm very happy with the night. Unfortunately the track was down a long time from an oil down.
This time out the only change is MS109 Race gas. We also had ice in the tank for every pass.
First pass on 8psi, got a very good launch considering we have the stock converter but at maybe the 1000 ft I felt like I was getting loose and pedaled it. A few people behind me had the same problem and that is what they were cleaning up for over an hour.
That pass:
1.67
4.52
6.85@107
8.86
10.58@129
Next pass was similar but I had no issues and stayed in the whole time
1.68
4.52
6.86@106
8.84
10.53@133.8
Then we decided to up the boost to 10 psi
First pass on 10 psi I didn't get it to leave well, so I hot lapped it for the last pass of the night. still not a great 60' but I can only do so much with this stock converter.
1.71
4.50
6.79@108
10.41@135.69
We are extremely pleased with where we ended up. Especially in such a short time. There is so much potential left here. Our intent was to show a worse case scenario with a bone stock car plus this twin system. But it turns out it's a pretty sick setup as is. I think with further tuning on cam timing and some other things I can get it to go much quicker with the stock converter but we are going to move ahead and put the Circle D converter in.
I'm headed out of town till the new year and Jake is an expecting Dad on Jan 1 so we will probably pick this back up sometime in the middle of January.

very nice. I am impressed with how quiet and smooth it puts down the power. Am not a fan of the open race sounding setups you see with most FI kits. This is very smooth.
