Wow.......it's amazing how this looks 10 times BETTER than a factory set up would/could look like. Perfection doesnt even descibe it -- so clean, and sexy!!! Good F'in job!

Any idea when you'll test this with a manual?

Where did you relocate the electronics on the passenger side?

The power distribution box is there in the pics if you look close. Next to the turbo. The PCM is in the fender. No wires had to be modified to do any of that.

HUGE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to share

Got the car back on the dyno today since I was off work. Wanted to get it ready to try for a 9 on the stock converter. We knew the stock catback would be a restriction but didn't think it would be as much as it was! So we pulled off the catback after the x pipe and...

On 13 psi we just made 791 rwhp and 675 rwtq with some tuning left to smooth it all out. We were floored by the performance of this system to start but now the 3 of us are just speechless at this point.

Here's the video

I'm just curious how long this is going to last bottom end wise with that kind of boost. Its an awesome setup from every angle I'm just curious and somewhat concerned about longevity.

You should be! I wouldn't recommend that much power on a stock engine to anyone. We know the risks involved. The key point is, you can make big power on this setup at low boost. Put it down at 8 psi and still make 600 rwhp.

This car will be getting a built engine eventually. But we want to do as much with the stock engine as we can. Wednesday for the first pass down the track I'm going to put it at about 700rwhp and go up from there.

Very fair answer Ken. I mean it is amazing what you guys are doing, I guess the limit is 600hp on the stock setup?

Great job!

Thanks. Yes, I would say 580-600 is about the most I would go on these, at least on pump gas. 650-700 would probably be ok once in awhile on race gas at the track. But you never really know with stock parts.

I have a stock manual GT that I will allow you to use for a test bed if you let me keep the turbos.

LOL, you can't rush perfection.

Jake just did a pull at 10 psi before he took it off the dyno this morning. Made 715 rwhp and 634 rwtq. Should be pretty quick tomorrow.

Well, good news and bad news. Last night the car went 10.23@139 with a 1.65 60' on the first pass on 10 psi. The bad news is it was the only pass because I think we broke the oil pump. Car ran fine all the way through to the end, but when I looked down I had no oil pressure. Shut it down, coasted off the track. Started it back up and still no oil pressure.

There have been a good amount of oil pump failures on these cars. I've heard of one going on a NA car but most were pushing the limits. So I would recommend to people wanting to push the upper limits of the stock engine, put some billet oil pump gears in for cheap insurance.

Plan now is to build the engine, fuel system, E85, Circle D Converter, suspension work and a lot more boost. We will most likely debut it in this configuration at NMRA Bradenton in early March followed up by the Texas Mile at the end of March where we plan to be the first one to go 200+ in the standing mile with the 5.0.

Some other good news is this will speed up the development of the kit since the car has to come apart.

Here's the video of the 10.23@139 Sorry about the track guy getting in the way, really sucked.

So did you lose the engine altogether or are you just going to build it because that was the plan anyways?? Bummer you broke the gear but It could of been much worse and your definately breaking some barriers with this set up already

No, all the parts are there and it was running fine, just no oil pressure. Some people that have broken the pumps have just put a new pump in and it was fine. Maybe have to change the bearings. But we aren't going to go through all that trouble to get it back to stock. We want to move on.

We will just finalize all the stock engine stuff on the next one we build.

And thanks, you have to assume these risks when pushing the limits. No way to find the limit until you break it.

Wow...I was convinced I wanted a Whipple. Very impressive, Ken, and one hell of a good looking setup as well.

Though I LOVE this setup... I just can't get over the "voiding the warranty" barrier. With the Ford Whipple, yeah it's less power and probably more clunky, but for $7k plus install, I can get 550hp with warranty... So that's my dilemma.
