I dreamed that dream as well. Sometimes I have to wake up and goto the garage and make sure it isn't a dream!!

My 2010 still only has 3000 miles on it. 450rwhp and 450 torques. No transmission problems no #8 piston going out. And it probably still hasn't cost me as much as 2011 would have bought a month later. I wouldn't trade even up they'd have to pay me.

Mine isn't at that level yet...but that exactly how i feel about the 5.0. I'd love to have one, but not at the cost of a warranty due to modding or potential problems with a tune....yeah i know we all run that risk but how many 4.6's have you seen with tune issues compared to 5.0's?

well i can say the rumors i heard about the new v6s being faster than a 4.6 is extrelely false! went to the track last night and i ran a half a second faster than the v6 did!

I put a powdercoated chrome Roush M90 on mine back in May. I got the kit new for $3,500 on Ebay, kit retails for $5,499. Car is a lot of fun now. Don't give up on your 10'!

I figure instead of spending the $ on fi and all related parts I'm just gonna keep my 10 mosty stock for now and just save up for the 444hp boss302 crate motor. How hard could it be to put a 5.0 in a 2010?

The nice thing about a '10 is it's the last year of the 4.6L in it. It has all the bugs worked out just about. The good heads, tranny, etc. I just ordered a MGW shifter for mine as the Roush shifter was giving me problems at the track going into 3rd.

Because that motor feels like a 302 cubic inch motor and my 450hp SC motor feels like a 500 cubic inch motor. Both might make 450hp but the area under the torque curve is much larger with a SC. Meaning it makes more power at a wider rpm range. Like 400 ftlbs of torque at 2000.

I'm totally content with my 2010 GT. It has a proven 5 year run great motor, and the look of a new car. You can always find something you wish you had more, but Im really enjoying my 2010. I drove the 2011 5.0 GT, it honestly didn't feel any faster in normal daily driving, I literally was on a Borrowed Car Agreement with the dealership for a 2011 all day and just could not justify getting one.
At the time the 2010 was the best Mustang, anytime you doubt that go look at the YouTube video reviews from all the car gurus and you'll feel much better. The 2010 got high praise at the time.
The 5.0 is really cool, but if you supercharge a 4.6 and add gears you can beat the 412 HP and put a few bucks in your pocket.
Unless your a avid racer and go to the track a lot, when do you really get to use the extra 97 hp (315 hp and 325 lbs.-ft of torque.)
With the 2011 GT having (412 horsepower and 390 ft.-lb. of torque.)
97 horsepower truly is not that much more power. Be proud of your 2010, I promise you when your driving it down the road many people look at you with envy, most don't even notice that it isn't a 5.0!
Oh for the record I absolutely can afford a 2012 5.0 GT. Just does not make sense!
The Shelby guys look down on the Roush guys, the Boss guys look down on the 5.0 stock guys and the 5.0 guys look down on the 4.6 guys etc..... its a Mustang people and unless your living under a rock it is a very popular car, in fact I heard Barrett Jackson guy say the Mustang is the most popular car ever made, and has more accessories available than any car ever produced on the market. Be proud of yourself first, the car really means little in the grand scheme of life. Thank your lucky stars your not that homeless guy laying in the park that has no car.
If your not proud of your Mustang you could sell it or trade it in for a Camaro.

What's not to like about a 2010? Sure, the 5.0 added horsepower but they also added sound deadening material, which added weight. I personally don't do much racing, so mine's a street machine. On the street, I'm not in the least bit afraid to run against a 5.0... In fact, I've done so, stop light to stop light. Call it a draw, but the look on the other guy's face was priceless!
Here's a few pics for y'all..

Anyone on here beating up the '10 is making a mistake. Sure, it may not be the "latest and greatest", but the car holds it's own just fine. With a few mods, the car is far from slow.
I can't fathom anyone trading in a '10 for an '11. Maybe a '13, maybe a '15, but not 1-2 years up, when they look the same. The minor additions (including the powertrain) to the car aren't enough to justify a new loan IMO.
As a 2011 owner, I don't look down on anyone with a '10. I applaud them for wanting a car and possibly not knowing what was in the pipeline at the time. Can't hate someone for having good taste, can you?
