Kona blue going in for matte black paintwork in June.
My kona blue GT is scheduled for paint work next month.
I was going to have between the taillights, stock spoiler, roof, and top of hood cowl painted matte black.
After seeing pictures of a Kona with a matte black roof, I decided to leave the roof kona blue. Saved me a good chunk of money, as I was quoted $850 with the roof, only $385 without.
My only question now is should I have the whole hood bump painted, make it look sort of like a shaker hood, or just the top?
Right now I'm at just the top, the area that the Boss sticker covers.
For a start, I ordered the magnetic decklid blackout.
For $35 it's not bad, fits pretty well. Gives me a taste of how it will come out.

When I was researching matte black, I came across this pic. These are all vinyl, but it gave me an idea what having the whole hood bump done might look like.
It made me decide to hold off on having the roof done right now. Some days I like it, others I don't.
Figure it's easier to get that done later, vs. having them repaint Kona if I didn't like it.
It's scheduled to be in the shop June 20-22.
I'll definitely post up pics once it's done.
