I've said this before. Shelby should be a special package vehicle just like Saleen was. But an SVT option should be available without all that Shelby crap on it.

The only thing I really like are the seats.
Just give me a GT body with the SC5.4 or 5.8.

I really don't understand why anyone cares what Shelby charges for these conversion packages if you're not planning on buying one. That would be like me *****ing about how much a Corvette costs, I'm not planning on buying one, so therefore I don't give a **** how much it costs.
I also don't see the hatred toward someone for capitalizing on something that people are willing to pay for. Its the American way, capitalism at its finest. If there wasn't a market for it, his old *** would have been out of business a long time ago. But hes not, people are still buying the products, so more power to him.
If I could sell stuff just because my name was on it, I **** sure would. But I can't, so I don't. But at the same time I'm not going to begrudge someone who is able to.
Why don't we start hating athletes for the enormous amounts of money they are paid just to put their name on a shoe, or a jersey, or a hat, or do a commercial for some random product? What is the difference? If they can make money off of name recognition, have at it.

I'm not hating on Shelby himself and I like the fact that his name is on a mustang. Just don't like his styling packages and would prefer the drivetrain without.

It's an opinion Lee. You know like an ******* everybodys got one. He could slap a $1m markup on the thing for all I care. The more he puts in it for the less parts he installs might lend some people to think they are finally not getting what they pay for on post production Shelby Mustangs.
If somebody wants to buy it go ahead. It might still be a free country.
I thought we were here to express opinions and instead we get the same old argument from a few that we are just Shelby haters. I wish Jesus' disciples would have been this loyal.

I'd have paid $4.50 if the batteries said Shelby on them somewhere.

In the meantime, I'll continue to use my 15 year old Sears garage door button. I did have to buy new batteries for it last week. It cost me $4 for a pair of tiny Duracell batteries.

The 800 horsepower Super Snake sounds enticing. However, If I could afford to spend over 120000 dollars, I would buy two 2013 GT 500 Mustangs.
