I have been away for a while and just noticed you never updated this thread. How is the Shelby? Did you get it? What is going on? Just wondering, Joseph...

I still don't have it. Deysha is looking into it. Some kind of train delay. It went 1300 miles in a couple days and stopped in New Mexico about 600 miles form home. It has been there about a week in the rail yard.
(I've just been going nuts waiting for it) By the way how are you feeling? Mike

Mikeodo, that is a fabulous looking GT500.All the angles you took the pictures from are perfect for showing off the great aspects of the GT500. You are fortunate to live in a state with a warm climate that allows you to drive your GT500 . I had to put my 2014 GT500 away for the Winter. Today was 52 degrees, but they dumped so much salt on the roads last week after the snow that I did not want to get all the salt dust on my precious pony. We are going to have to have a lot of heavy rains in the Spring to wash all the salt off the roads up here in Minnesota.

Ouch, Mike. So cruel. It's beautiful here in Las Vegas, too, and I had Cars & Coffee this past Saturday, with my next track event coming up in December. Sunny skies and mild temps, we're so lucky!

If it helps, it is forecast to rain a little on Friday here. I don't like the winter that much. I am getting to where I don't like the summer heat here also. I guess I should live in San Diego. Not to hot and not to cold.
Son-in-law and grandkids all live here though. Can't go away from them.
So what do you do for fun while the car is bedded down?

Troll the internet for the next mods for the car. Of course! lol Then some winter stuff like ice fishing or snowmobiling, when there is free time, which is few and far between! The change of the seasons makes me enjoy and appreciate the warm times of the year. I guess I appreciate the "fun summer toys" so much more. I would really miss the change of the seasons if I ever moved.
What do you guys do in the south in the winter months (besides drive the heck out your cars all year long)

If we get enough snow to snowmobile, I will get out and play in the snow. If we have one of those cold winters without snow, then I go outside to see how long I have to wait until I get frostbite. Winter is a good time to watch some television and read the books I did not have time to read during the rest of the year.

Summer time fun
We will be driving up north about 150 miles to Flagstaff AZ. It is usually 30 degrees cooler. That would put it about 80 degrees in the heat of the summer in Flagstaff. We go from the house to the swimming pool, air conditioned car, or air conditioned Mall if we are in the valley of the sun.(Phoenix).
If you live here you know how to get out of the heat, just like I assume you know how to keep out of the freezing temperatures. I was born in Phoenix and will probably not move from here. I get my fill of winter (Snow) by visiting the Flagstaff area once or twice a year.
What is so fresh in my mind is the wait for my car to be delivered. It took 72 days and that was almost more that I could take. I am glad at least some people have more patients than I. It would be hard for me to see the car in the Garage and not be able to drive it.
