I believe those are NT05's or Invo's from Nitto on that car.
Hmmm maybe not..I see 3grooves there, and I know the INvo runs 2 on theirs...not sure on the NT05 maybe they are Conti's Summer ? They make a 315 size tire...

If Ford is going to change the design a little in the 2013 Mustang, I would think they would be altering the fenders to allow a much wider tire than they currently use. Hopefully they will bore and stroke that 5.4 to 5.8 liters. I will be looking to get one then.

"I wanna go fast"
I think Ford has the technology to produce a 5.8 liter modular engine that will get good enough gas mileage to keep us from paying too high of a gas guzzler tax. I would certainly still buy a GT500 if I had to pay a resonable gas guzzler tax.
No Ricky Bobby, I think that even with the rumored 5.8, it won't carry a GG tax. The last thing I would expect (and I may be wrong) is for Ford to bring some behemoth engine out, and nail people with the GG tax. They proved that they can make major power and not require it, so apply that to the new engine and see where it goes. Couple that with a transmission designed for the motor, and you should be able to avoid it.

The other thing to look at is the ZL1. If it gets a GG, we might still see one on the SVT model. If not, then I expect them to try and avoid it as much as possible.

Even adopting the coyote's fuel injection strategy could allow leaner A/F ratios since it mimics direct injection and one of the benefits of doing so is the increased cooling in the combustion chamber allowing higher compression or leaner fuel mixtures or a combination of both.
More power and torque as you suggest might allow juggling the trans and final drive ratios to offset the power increase.
