The new car will sell March/April 2013. Bye Bye Camaro...even though it will be on the Alpha Chassis in 2014/15 the car will be where the Mustang is now in terms of weight...

"By late 1961, we had a target date. The New York World's Fair was scheduled to open in April 1964, which sounded to us like the ideal place to launch our car. Although new models are traditionally introduced in the fall, we had in mind a product so exciting and so different that we would dare to bring it out in the middle of the year. Only the World's Fair had enough scale and drama for the car of our dreams.
On March 9, 1964.... the first Mustang rolled off the assembly line. We had arranged to produce a minimum of 8160 cars before introduction day - April 17 - so that every Ford dealer in the country would have at least one Mustang in his showroom when the car was officially launched.
On April 17, ford dealerships everywhere were mobbed with customers...."
Hence the 1964 1/2 moniker...
The easiest way to tell a 1964 1/2 Mustang from a 1965 is that the front edge of the hood was roll under in 1965 and was not in 1964.

Here we go again...
50th is 2015MY, end of story. This has been (basically) confirmed by several people on the forums, yet you continue to think otherwise. Right now, it's obvious that Ford is moving the Mustang ahead of it's other models. If every Feb-March we're seeing the next MY vehicle on showroom floors, what does that indicate.
March 2010 - 2011MY vehicles hit dealers
March 2011 - 2012MY vehicles hit dealers
Let's play this out a bit further
March 2012 - 2013 MY vehicles hit dealers
March 2013 - 2014 MY vehicles hit
Then, in 2014, after a slight delay for retooling, we see the 2015MY sometime in...wait for it...APRIL 2014!
So, until someone proves that it's otherwise, you're doing nothing but

C'mon guys, if they first Mustang was a 1964 1/2, then a 2014 is gonna be 50 years. Or 49.5 is you want to be that way. Maybe they'll just roll out the anniversary edition in 2014 1/2.
Problem solved, but feel free to keep up the
