I am glad to see Ford still connected to Shelby and I want to see the relationship continue. It has been a very successful partnership (with a few exceptions) since the early 60's.
If you don't like the Shelby, go buy something else, there is something out there for everyone. Personally I want the option to buy a Shelby Mustang over a Camaro, Challenger, or whatever. It doesn't have a material impact on the cost of the vehicle, the government has a MUCH bigger impact.

Launch control is for the publications only. Ford gets a bad rap against other cars because the reviews can't launch the car comparing it to all the competetors that have it.
So it makes the GT500 look bad in reviews. Now the GT500 won't be showing times slower then heavier vehicles like the ctsV.
So now it will look good on paper and we can shut it off on the enthusiust end here.

I'm in the make is a cobra camp and leave it at that.
I've done plenty of thinking and I think we don't need his name attached to the car. Guess having an opinion that isn't yours is a felony.

This is what I get out of that spy photo.
The lower side air dams have fog lights in them still you can see the round bezel shape under the tape. Of course this is speculation but I am saying the holes in the grill are twin intakes for the twin turbos.
Has a very agressive carbon fiber splitter on the bottom. Obviously has hood venting on each side of the dome.

I do understand that and that is precisely the reason I said what I said.
Hence my agreement with this post
But all this matters not. Ford is calling it that and you can now live the dream.

*sigh*
Drop them both and call it a Cobra. Sorry I wasn't clear enough. I had assumed if you dropped Shelby the GT500 would go with it.
Would be interesting if you turn out to be right Chris.
Although i think the grille might be just a smoke screen. Lets hope I'm wrong.

How do you figure? Ford made Cobras from 1993-2004. You remind me of the guys who have original Shelbys that claim SVT Cobras are not real cobras. All Shelby is is a name... Just like Mach1, Boss just simple marketing I don't buy the heritage BS.
