Yeah, I live very close to the beach. So there's some SERIOUS money here. I've had women drivers want to race me so many times, it's funny. Many of them actually seem to know what they're doing too!

We're talking different HP here, so coming close to matching the auto in the 5.0 might be a stretch. The AT actually drops the city/hwy mpg on the vettes. I do believe it would improve sales to some extent, with cost being the deciding factor.

In some reviews of the 2011-12 Shelby there are those that feel the price of the car is already too high for what you get, especially when you compare it's non-performance features to the 5.0 GT. People get in their minds what they believe a specific car is worth and will walk if the car doesn't fall within that range.

So what price range do you believe an AT would have to fall in to be considered by 50% of buyers as a viable option for the Shelby?

In the midst of a muscle vehicle renaissance American automakers have started an arms race by producing modern pony automobiles with staggering amounts of power. Ford is unleashing the 2013 Shelby GT Mustang soon, and the 650-horsepower beast will do 200 miles an hour.
This is the Article source: Horsepower arms race is on with 2013 Ford Shelby GT Mustang
Any woman will love this Shelby for sure. This is awesome.

In the past, Ford has not appeared to make the GT500 in large numbers. If an automatic were offered they would probably see an increase in sales. The end result could be they would eventually sell more automatic GT500 Mustangs than manual transmission GT500s. If they sold more automatics, they would probably drop the manual transmissions as they have done in the past with their high performance cars. That, I dont think is what we would want to happen to the GT5OO. I sometimes enjoy driving an automactic car, but I would want the GT500 to remain a manual trans car.
