sorry i've been real busy with finals and getting this school thing out of the way...1 more day of finals *sigh* how is everyone doing??

 

Well guys I think I am starting to hear my gears whine a little when letting off the gas and letting the car slow itself down. Doesnt make any noise when its on a load, just when I am off the gas. hmmm will Benji warranty his work? Or is this something that I am going to have to live with. I first and foremost dont want it to get any louder. Right now its not bad at all. very livable. But I also dont want it to wear a pattern in the gearing before Benji can check the pinion depth. hmm what do you guys think?

David... sorry to hear that they are giving you the run around. Hell no did your CAI and tune ruin the tranny.... they know that... they just want to give you the run around like they probably do everyone. Dont take ****.

Chris! Good to hear from ya. Not long before you can put High School behind you and get on to.....well I hate to say it but more school. Sorry dude. Well to answer your question about Benji I think he can do lots of things really whatever you want, but we might be able to do long tubes and a mid pipe with the club mechanical minds (Paul and Myself) if you want to try and tackle it and save you some $$?? Just throwing it out there. Paul what do you think?

Jeff, sorry to hear about your meniscus. I have had a couple of buddies that blew out their ACL's and that was a real pain for them. I hope the meniscus is not as bad of an injury.

Jarrod, what weight gear oil did you use when you had your gears installed? I had used a 75W90 by red line when mine were installed. It started making noise so I drained it and filled it up with some royal purple 75W140 and the noise went away. Just a thought.

 

You're kidding! That sucks man! Trust me this crap is not fun. What do you have to have done? How long will you be down? Which foot is it???

Gears... Yes we do have a guy. Contact Benji Hays at Bob hurley Ford. He does installs on the side. He knows what he's doing (Ford Master Mechanic) He's quick and pretty reasonable.

 

Welcome too Brian! We would love to have you as a member if you are interested. Benji is our gear guy. PM me for his cell number. He has done 5 gear installs for some members of our club. Tell us a little about your ride!!

Brian Welcome! I think we have all ordered our gears from different places. Just make sure you get Ford Racing gears and not the Motive or other off brand as they have a tendency to whine. I ordered mine from Mustangs Unlimited. www.mustangsunlimited.com . Benji the master tech at ford does a great job for a reasonable price. Hope to hear more from ya about your car. We have several events to look foward to in the next few weeks, I hope that you can attend!

 

Heres another Welcome for you Brian!!! Glad to see you made it here! We are a great bunch of guys of all ages from 17 to hmmm Hey how old is BOB well you get the idea. as for gears the guys are right on the money with Benji at Bob Hurley Ford.... did my install about 2 hours and done! We all went 4.10. Are you a manual or Auto? anyways we have lots of events planned car shows, tech days, testNtune at the drag strip to hone your skills down the track. And we are a lending hand for lots of installs. I just got my Eibach Pro Kit installed with the help of David and Pauls inspirational guidance. It was a breeze. Hope you'll join the club!
