bob hurley called me this morning

I thought TSB issues were easy to get taken care of.
Mr Hurley was one of the least professional businessmen I've dealt with; certainly the least professional at the millionaire level. Maybe its because I first addressed him as "sir" that he thought he could demean me, (how I miss the South) but the longer the conversation lasted, the more rude he became. I will post an audio file of the conversation in its entirety online, but in summary:

He asked me where I bought my "truck", I told him I bought my mustang in "Norman" and he asked he asked me some questions about my warranty (my situation has nothing to do with warranty; it has to do with a broken trunk his service dept was supposed to fix and a manufacturers defect they wree supposed to fix). At any rate, the conversation started to break down when he made a comment regarding what "normal" people would do in my situation. I began to summarize the steps I took (lodging a verbal complaint with Randy at the dealership Friday before last, calling his secretary etc.) He interrupted and in a raised voice referred to the above post I made. I hung up the phone at that point and called his secretary. I left a message with him that if he wanted to talk to me like a professional I would discuss the matter with him, otherwise I will put a journal online. So I will. When he takes care of his problem the moderators can delete it I guess. I will leave it on this forum for the time being. (and I will make a page for the audio file of this morning's conversation).

All Hurley had to do was greet me with something along the lines of "Good Morning Sir. I'm sorry we didn't get back to you sooner, could you give me the details of your problem again?" Instead he was haughty and arrogant.

It always surprises me how rich people think they can talk to others. At least its surprising when a rich businessman does it. I will edit this as needed.

Since posting the above I rec'd a letter form Paul of BMMC telling me this wasn't a BMMC issue. The BMMC mission Statement says the club it for enjoying a common interest and while this certainly seems to be a common interest I guess no one is enjoying it (except maybe Bob). I would also think Mr Hurley would prefer this issue to stay on a "local" web forum rather than a bunch of others. At any rate, I didn't mean to bother anyone (except Mr Hurley insofar as getting his attention) with my posts here, and thanks to those that have responded to me personally regarding the issue.

Since posting the above I found on http://www.boldmoves.proamerican.us/aboutus.php?page=2
that BMMC has pledged its loyalty to Mr Hurley. It would still be nice if this problem wre contained here in this forum without spreading to others.

EH,

I am the founder of the club and its sitting president. As mentioned in my previous email, BMMC does not get involved and will not interfere in any BHF customer service issues. That being said, this BMMC forum is not the place to air any grievance in hopes of settlement.

Simply put, BHF is our sponsor. They have been a very accommodating one at that. Randy and Bob have given the club great support and for that the club and its board members are very appreciative.

You stated per our website that “we have sworn our allegiance to BHF”. No where on our site does it say that. Personally, I only swear my allegiance to God, Country and my family. We are an independent non-profit club. Further more, we do not require that you purchase your car from BHF in order to gain membership in our club. We invite all.

While this is a public forum, you have the right to post what you will. You are only governed by the rules of the forum owners. I do ask however, that you keep your matters pertaining to your complaint with BHF off this forum.

Respectfully,
Paul
President of BMMC of Tulsa

OK Paul Enough of my service problem, but the site I linked to above
( http://www.boldmoves.proamerican.us/aboutus.php?page=2 )

does state that BMMC pledged its loyalty to Bob Hurley. To wit:
A new Sponsor was added. Bob Hurley Ford of Tulsa came on board with sponsorship for the club. Seeing what can be acomplished when many like minded people come together for a common goal prompted Bob Hurley Ford to get involved. In return the BMMC returned the favor pledging our loyalty

I just don't want the members thinking I made that up. I am glad to know I will never be expected to take an oath to Bob.

Many of us have updated the site, I'm not how that got in there. I think it was meant as a tougue and cheek comment. However I have removed it so there is no confusion.

Thanks for bring it to my attention.
