OK, here's a tech question for the pros. I figure I'd post it here instead of starting another thread. I have a Roush short throw shifter in my 427R and what sits on top of that is the Roush Billet shifter **** with grips. I don't mind it but I ordered a Roush 'Retro' shifter arm and both black and white ***** to see if I like that shifter fell better. Question is does the console have to come out to replace just the shifter arm or not? From what I've read its just a direct bolt in but I'm not sure how far to have to tear down to get to the bolts that hold on the arm? Any info would help. Below is my Roush Billet shifter and next to it is a generic pic of a Roush Retro shifter/w Black **** that I have on order and should be here tomorrow.

Thanks Chris(427R)

Real easy man... Just remove the ****, liftup the boot and you'll see two bolts. .. No need to remove the whole console only the shifter boot. Should take 10 mins tops...

Thanks, I like how it all turned out. here's a cool pic of the gauges. This stuff is all new to me so I'm having fun with it!! I'm used to carburetors, vinyl seats and moldy carpet so this interior is a blast!!

This isn't my car but here's what the gauges look like not lit. Also the other pic is of a Saleen gauge cluster. There speedo goes to 200 and its looks alot different then Roush.

Thanks for the tech back-up. I hope the shifter arm come's in tomorrow via Fed Ex but it just left Chicago this morning so I'm not so sure. I can't wait to join up, take in a few shows and enjoy this car. The weather has been crappy lately so I haven't had much seat time.

Yep the weather hasn't been optimal to say the least. Are you going to Show it at the Shelby meet?
