SUCKS! The club's flagship event of the year and I can't drive. All I can do is sit behind the table...

No way to drive with the cast Paul? I'm sure you can figure somthing out. You can be the official club grill master.

 

I will be bringing 3M clear bra, stripes, and spoiler along with some chips and non-beer

I just got through rebuilding my old shifter with a new saleen short throw adaptor. I am sick of having to use 2 hands to get into reverse and almost straining an arm muscle to get it into 5th. Now I just need to put it in...

 

Ahhhh back to the saleen adaptor I see. You could probably sell your Pro-50 at Shelby if no one on here is interested.

 

Actually I had already promised the Pro 5.0 to Paul...can you blame me for wanting to switch back? I really wanted a new MGW but they are too expensive right now

 

I still wonder if its in the adjustment or somthing. My Tri-Ax isn't hard to row into the gears and it's basically the same design.

 

I know that some Pro 5.0ers have had problems with those huge brass bushings. Many have stated that those are the problem and that a shim kit might be needed. As long as the adaptor works with the new driveshaft I was always very happy with the adaptor. I think I said it before when I said that the Saleen was a shorter throw than the Pro 5.0 anyway...

 

When are you re-installing the driveshaft?

 

If the car isn't ready by Fri. I guess i'm going to skip the show in yukon. Besides it's a hundred bucks or more that I can spend on another mod for Shelby. LOL

 

I think it is going to get re-installed Friday. I am hoping to have it done so I can go to the drags and then the show but it may take some time to do it right and not have it vibrate...

 

I wish there was more time to go to the drags before Shelby. I need more practice on the Drag Radials. How many test runs do you get at shelby? Or is it just strait to qualifying?? I haven't been out there in so long I forgot.

Jeff did you buy another Salleen kit? Damm it... Call me before you do that crap.

But I must say... bang for th buck... the saleen kit is just hard to beat.

 

Hopefully we can all get some good runs in on the 8th at TNT. That will be our only night of running with the DRs.
