Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how is it a leaner mixture? Its a higher octane which should be better for forced induction cars... safer... heck you can even bump up the boost or mess with the timing to get a little more out of her. If I have a 91 octane tune and I am putting in a 94oc mixture..yes i am getting less power BUT I can use a 93octane tune to compensate, which increases timeing and takes advantage of the add octane. Now as for how it burns...thats a different story..that may lead to further issues.

It's not so much octane as it is the flash point....

This is getting old... All gas will eventually have some percentage of alcohol in it. If you don't like it... ride a bike.

It might be here to stay but I still don't like it. The fiesta marts in Tulsa still has ethanol free gas in Tulsa for now but that will probably change. Most people can't see beyond the price on the sign and in order to compete they will have to do it eventually. I just hope that there is a couple of places that will hold out because they will get my business. I am angry about getting ripped off by quicktrip and will give my business to someone else in the future because of what they done.

It is most likely that E10 is here to stay since MTBE in ether has been banned in gasoline. They are both oxygenates but mtbe causes water pollution.

I hate the Tulsa world news paper because they are a bunch of left wing, tree hugger's that distort the truth for there own political agenda.
