KR Production won't affect 'normal' production!

I heard that the 1,000 GT500 KRs will not affect 'regular' GT500 Production.
I heard they will STILL build 9,000 - 10,000 'regular' GT500's.
This is a very good thing for those of us who still don't own one. Hang in there!!! I am.....

I'm hoping for the same thing. I'd have to sell my 70 convertible but I think it would be worth it.

Well, that's true in a way, but the GT500KR will built using a GT500 as a base car. So if 10K GT500s are built and then 1500 KRs are built, that only leaves 8500 GT500s. Food for thought.

I think you missed the point of his post. The KR WILL NOT affect the GT500 production. They'll be over and above the normal production.

According to Mr. Shelby, 1,000 KRs isn't the FINAL number:

Watch the interview, 2:21 before the end, Shelby says he hasn't signed off on the 1,000 KR and he wants more!

Yep. That was me asking him the question.
And I gotta tell you, he looked me right in the eye and said that. I know the camera couldn't capture this, but the man definitely had an opinion!

Ford and Shelby Autos were still discussing this from what I was told.
