Red face Shimmy when I brake

I have a 2006 Mustang GT. Just recently, I noticed that when I apply the brakes, the front end shakes (trembles), as well as the steering wheel. When I tap the brakes, it doesn't do it quite so bad.
I was wondering if I need to have my brakes looked at or could it possibly be that I just need to have my tires balanced? Or both?

i would get the brakes checked. It sounds like warped rotors, since it only happens when you apply the brakes. Tire balance issues usually happen with or without the brakes being applied..

^^^ I agree. Get everything done at once and be all set to go.
