Seat's flat

The foam in my seat cushion has definitely gone flat after 6 1/2 years. I'm looking online for replacement cushions and all I see is one on ebay for $65 or so and the same part on fordparts.com for $95. does anyone have a good source?

Or do I have to find a local automotove upholstery shop?

Any help appreciated

I'd think an upholstery shop would be cheaper, but I could be wrong. Fortunately, I don't know from experience. After 8 years, mine have held up quite well.

I would think a custom shop would have even better stuff. Maybe some memory foam stuff. That would be nice.

A cheap altrnative is to go to a fabric store and get a 4'x2'x2" piece of foam . Cut it to fit and wrap in a bath towel. I did this for a 4000 mile trip and had a comfortable ride in an 80K mie Focus. FYI I priced repadding my front seats at $125 each at a local interior shop.

Not exactly the most attractive option. The funny thing is I don't think it's just long trips that are the problem. We took the mother-in-law's CX-7 for Thanksgiving and my back was fine the whole time. I drove to work in my own car for the first time in a week today and the back pain was back.

check NTO.com, I got a complete spare set of new take off seatcovers(pads are part of the seat) for like 80 bucks- but mine are cloth, sure leather would be more.

edit, did some digging, looks like the covers only have the back padding, not bottom...mine are boxed up, havent seen them in a long time...

FWIW, this ebay store has some of the best takeoff deals ive seen in a while:
http://stores.ebay.com/Qualityoneaut...sid=1074185175 currently they dont show any seats...
