No ground is passing to the fuel pump (Ford Mustang 05)
Hi, U all!
I have a Ford Mustang 05 v6 convertible...I changed the fuel pump because we thought that was that and it wasnt. We check the electricty and is passing the current fine to the fuel pump but the ground doesnt work... we try to start the car and the car crank por doesnt turn on...we check the relay and the relay is fine .....also the battery the voltage is fine... I dont what else it could be.... Can someone help me?

The fuel pump driver module (underside of luggage compartment) controls the fuel pump. The power goes from the module pin #4 {pnk/blk} to the pump and the pump ground {blk} returns back through pin #2 of the driver module and out pin #3 to the chassis ground G400 left rear of luggage compartment.

I changed it today and i turn on but the car when off again them i try to crank again and it didnt want to turn on back again...what it could be???
I would suggest swapping the fuel pump relay for one of the others in the BEC to see if it's an intermittent problem. Also check the inertia fuel shutoff switch in the right kick panel. Did you check the chassis ground G400 for tightness? Also check G100 right side of radiator support for tightness. This is the ground for the PCM and Fuel Pump Relays. Have you checked for engine codes with a code reader?

I swap the fuel relay ... I check the grounds and i clean them ....I check the fuel inertia switch their is electricity passing throught....i replace the fuel pump driver module but nothing happen.... cranks but not start... i m so sad i try everything....there is not code in the computer....
Are you sure it's fuel related and not spark or air? The fuel pump only pumps for a few seconds to build pressure in the system then shuts off till started. Do you have a gauge to check fuel rail pressure?
It's possible but have you used a pressure gauge to verify you are or aren't getting fuel pressure when the ignition key is turned to On. Do you have any add-ons like remote start that may interfere with the ignition process?

I believe it’s time for a schematic for me as well I know it’s goes back to pcm just to confirm pump is good car should start be jumping the ground at the fuel pump modual don’t leave it there long Presure can get high test at your own risk.
if you didn’t modify anything check wiring under kick panel hope this helps
