After replacing fuel pump, car stopped working

Just replaced fuel pump, on the way home from getting it replaced, car stopped working. Won't turn on now. Is it a fuel pump problem or alternator problem or something else? Any opinions?

From: That town you drive through to get to Myrtle Beach
Can you elaborate anymore? Might help to know if it's turning over or not/rough idling/etc.

If you turn the key to the 'ON' position, do you hear the fuel pump pressurizing the system?
