Changing mechanical fuel pump to inline electric

I have a 85 Mustang GT 5.0 that I am trying to convert from mechanical fuel pump to an inline electric fuel pump, has anyone done this, what do you do with the return line?

leave all your lines hooked up as they currently are and just run your electric thru the mechanical pump ..
