Headlamp fogging (condesation)

Headlamp fogging (condesation)

The LH-side headlamp has lately started to show a considerable amount of condensation, especially visible a few hours after driving the car. I checked the lens and there is no apparent crack or defect in the seams. Is there an easy fix for it that I could try, before ordering a new lamp? I'm thinking about removing the bulb and blowing warm air inside the lamp with a hairdryer.
Any other suggestions? Thanks!

I had this problem in my 07' GT/CS Driver side headlamp....took it to the dealership and they replaced the whole unit!

Thanks, but that's not a quick fix in my case (the local Ford dealers don't carry Mustang parts... )

Anyway, I did remove the bulb and dried the inside of the lamp with a hairdryer. Now I have to wait and see if it happens again. If so, then I'll order a new headlamp myself.

I have had slight condensation at one time, but never seen it again. I know my Lightning taillights would do this from time to time and Ford said it was normal.

I guess you could apply soapy water on the outside of the assy, then apply a little compressed air through the bulb hole, to cheak for leaks you might not be able to see along a seem.

Maybe the fix is to vent it to atmosphere so the condensation has somewhere to go...

I am pretty sure the lenes have a vent hole.. Is this plugged?

Something has to keep them from fogging, even when it dries it leaves water spots on the inside-the **** OUTSIDE is hard enough to keep clear as it is

I have water in my front turn signals. Going back a 2nd time to get them replaced. also have my passenger side foglight fogging up.
