Cool

I don't think its the battery.
As soon as I pull the hood latch all power comes back on.
I bet its a loose battery connection. I haven't check mine yet cuz I keep it stored in a hide out.
Plus I don't want anyone seeing it with the hood open thinking its broke

My replacement was a Motorcraft from the dealer under warranty.

What battery issue are ya'll referring too?

My car actually would not start this weekend and I'm wondering if it was the battery or not. The radio and windows and stuff all worked so I didnt really have a clue (does that stuff keep working if the battery is dead?). Anyway it's still under warranty so had it towed to the dealer.

For those who replaced their Motorcraft battery with an Optima, how did you get around the fact that the poles on the Optima batteries are reversed? Did you replace the battery cables? Or just re-route the wires?

I did some checking around and cannot identify a direct replacement for the battery... or one that doesn't seem to require under-hood surgery? Any suggestions on how to over-come this?

I think these cars require the Optima 34R.

"R" have reversed Poles.

I have not done the replacement. this is Information from Optima.
