Question Calling all GT Automatics - Vibrations

I have a '06 GT automatic that has 18K on it. I have noticed recently that the who car has picked up a resonance / vibration at idle while in gear held agaist the brake and at low speeds. This 5 speed auto is very quick to upshift into 5th at 30 MPH which of course lugs the entire drivetrain which is annoying but computer controlled to save gas. The floor shifter vibrates during these sessions and if I give it a small amount of gas / raise the idle against the brake, the groaning noise subsides / goes out of phase. Any thoughts on how to solve this would be great. My car idles in drive held against the brake at 500 RPMs which is fairly low in my opinion.

Get a tuner and change your idle rpms, mine are 800 in Nuetral and 650 in gear.

Nature of the beast Roger, obviously excessive vibration would be a bad thing, but normal is normal. Many may tell you you should have bought a manual. I have the auto and mine does the same thing if I let it. I don't let it. Lag behind the car in front of you and accelerate faster, or slap shift it from first. Should be OK. Don't let it lug down though, that's not good.

Try pulling the negative battery cable for about 20 minutes, then reinstall it. That will clear the adaptive memory and restore it to stock shift/idle points.

My pony has this weird transmission noise at very low rpms

Hi guys sorry if its been asked b4 but when I am slowing down in the second and first gear there is a whining noise with a vibration at the same time from my 5r55s auto is it due to a Torque Converter?
