Air Bag Light TSB
#1
Two weeks after getting my car the air bag light came on. I did some research and found the TSB. I pulled all the info and there is two options... One is trying to find a ground fault somewhere in the wireing... two is to have the computer swapped out. That means taking apart the whole dash and I'm worried the dealership is going to mess up the reinstallation and turn my baby into a rattle trap.
Has anyone experienced the same issue and what was your outcome

What did you end up doing?
I've noticed that when my wife is sitting in the passenger seat, the air bag light will turn on and off at random times.

Yes something like this is true. Last week I placed a rather heavy sack of groceries in the seat and mine came on too. It displayed the "Passenger Airbag Off" message. I believe 75 lbs. should be enough weight though. Better get it checked out.

I had the same problem with my passenger airbag. I took it in and they replaced the airbag switch in the seat, they also replaced the airbag and cover (to fix the rattle) at the same time. Since then the light only comes on when I have someone between 25 and 75 pounds in the seat.

Mine turned on and off (a few minutes at a time) with my ~100lbs gf in the seat. Anyone else experience this or know which TSB resolves this?
