Let's see. Since were coming upon the 100th anniversary of the Model T (debut October 1908) let's go with it.

When originally introduced in 1908 a Model T cost @ $850.00 and took @12 hours to assemble and get out the door. 15 million sold during run!

Now the question:
When Ford finally ceased production of the Model T 19 years later, What was the base selling price and how long did it take to assemble and go out the door? (Start to finish)

Fun Fact :
Ford was also into the Charcoal making business. they used the scraps of wood used during production to make the brickets. What was the BRAND NAME they were sold under?

In 1955, this classic Ford replaced the Ford Crestline as the premier full-size offering. What was the new name?

Oxford White. Only one produced for the Mac tools company. But I think you're looking for Dark Sage.

Trust me, there were alot more than one 9L (Oxford White) SVOs built over the three year run, 894 to be exact. What you are thinking is that in 1984 there was only one 9L built. You are correct on the second answer, there were only 47 4E (Dark Sage) SVOs built during the three run. I actually had a chance to buy one but didn't have the money at the time. So I will keep on looking for the right 86 2R to go with my 2R GT.

2nd choice would be Shadow Blue '86 only

OK, that sounded like a challenge so here goes. Below is a list of all colors broke down by year and production numbers. the 85.5 numbers are included in the 85 numbers.

Color
Black(1C)-----------------------------(84)1446-------(85)539-------(86)1053
Silver(1E)-----------------------------(84)976---------(85)146-------(86)224
Med Canyon Red(2A)------------(84)1021-------(85)220-------(86)384
Oxford White(9L)-------------------(84)1------------(85)332-------(86)561
Dark Charcoal(9W)----------------(84)1063
Medium Charcoal(1B)--------------------------------(85)334
Jalapena Red(2R)-------------------------------------(85)348-------(86)681
Dark Sage(4E)-----------------------------------------(85)32---------(86)15
Shadow Blue(7B)-------------------------------------------------------(86)71
Smoke(1D) ---------------------------------------------------------------(86)390

As you can see, over the three year run Dark Sage is by far the rarest color. Shadow Blue is the next rarest color. A quick note about Shadow Blue, there were actually 1 maybe 2 more made in earlier years. I do not remember the year. I know this to be true because Kendal has a 7B from 84 or 85, and there are rumors of another. Dark Charcoal was indeed a one year only color, but compiled about 1/4 of the production in 84. I hope that this will clear things up for everybody. Kendal can comfirm my numbers, and report any errors that I might have made.

I have a 7B SVO but it is an 86, The 84 blue one I have is a 5C and so far the only blue 84 ane the only 5C ever made. I have the build sheet and the buck tag as proof. The origional owner worked in the special order department at Ford in Dearborn where the special color Police cars were ordered. I also have a 4E Sage Green Hertz Rent-A-Car one of 10 That Hertz rented at Houston, Dallas and Atlanta.

I'll get back to keeping it simple...

What year was the convertible Fairlane introduced? Additionally, what size motor was dropped for this same year?

The 2nd question is a bit vague, so give me all the info about it.

1955?

Both the 239 and 256 V-8 engines were dropped after 1954.
