How 'bout a "Green" question for Mr. Greene.

This year Ford Motor Co. announced that they were going to use a Soy based foam for their seats. This is not the first time Ford has used soy to make products!
What year did Ford first start using Soy and name at least 3 products that it was used in?

Paint, resin tailgate, and soy-foams in the Model U concept. I will also say 1908.

1- correct. Paint was first product that Ford used soy oil. Reports have varied between 1 -2 bushels of soy per car @ 60 lbs was used in the paint alone.

2-I'm talking about actual production cars not concept.
3-Year? nope not 1908 ...too early.

need at least 2 more products used in production and year

Adhesives and fabrics?

Found a quote: "The Model T once contained 60 pounds of soybeans in its paint and molded plastic parts".

Fabrics never proved viable and were never used in production- Ford ended up selling off that venture along with one of his chemists!

OIL–FREE SOY MEAL

Molded Parts
Horn Buttons
Gear Shift *****
Distributor Parts
Light Switch Assembly
Timing Gears

What was the first model year that Magnum 500 wheels were available on a Ford product and what car could have had them?

Can I get a little credit for reading all 39 pages of this in one day?

What might you find on the horn button center cap of an early 65 Mustang steering wheel if you pull the Mustang logo off?
