not for sale ?? then why display something so prominantly in your front yard ... could be just like another mustang i know of near me .. sits 20 feet off the road at an old house and is not for sale .. the old retired gentleman uses it as conversation bait to get folks to stop and talk to him .. his daughter bought it new in 66 or so and drove it to death and now it sits decaying .. he wont let me post a pic of it ( i promised i would not )

There's also a green '69 fastback. Story I was told was they were both 428 cid cars. Don't know for sure. There's some great old cars up here, a lot on Hwy 69 to Cullman.

Skippy, that looks a lot like that car in Morgan City near your house (where the green '69 fb also sits). I know that the green car is a 390 car, not sure about the '70. Been there for many years, floorpans are probably gone by now.

That's them, Mike. Tried to get a pic of the green one but the sun's glare ruined the pic. I'll try from a different angle.

The only way to get these kind of cars is to wait for the geezer to die. Most times "the kids" sell everything off and go back home to wherever they are living. Grandpas or Dads stash doesnt mean much to them(usually)

sad but very true .. most times it`s just a matter of being lucky and hitting the kids up as soon as the old folks pass on.. the same thing is happening with land all around me as the old landowners die the kids are selling the family farms and getting rich ...the " root " of all evil quote has never been truer

man what some finds. As of right now I know where a 70 fairlane, 63 impala, and 58 belair, 71 fastback, 69 Q code mach 1, 69 302 boss, 70 fastback, 70 mach 1 are siting just rotting away.. This annoys me VERY much.

Awesome thread guys! Hoss429, I've lived here in the northwest corner of Alabama all my life, and I've never seen any of these cars. Love to get out sometime and hunt a few. Let's see some more. I really like the ones whose owners are "going to fix it up one day." Why don't they just sell? Let someone work on it that has the resources and time.
